Independence Day is a pretty bad movie, but Roland Emmerich hit it out of the park with the casting. Bill Pullman is a perfect boring white guy to play a president, and the blandness of that character puts more focus on Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum who are basically the two most likable people that have ever existed. Also, Brent Spiner.
You’re wrong about it being a bad movie. It is the best movie. Also my #1 celebrity crush is anytime Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith are together.
